Southern Berkshire TRIAD will offer a free Weapons of Fraud event on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 1:00 PM at the Claire Teague Senior Center, 917 Main Street, Great Barrington.

Presenter Elliott Greenblott, Vermont Coordinator for AARP Fraud Watch Network, will offer an overview of the leading scams, techniques of con artists, and a discussion of the steps to avoid victimization. There will be time for questions and answers. Attendees will receive a list of contact numbers and resources.

Attendees will also be treated to ice cream and toppings courtesy of the Great Barrington Police Department.

TRIAD is a nationally recognized community public safety initiative developed to reduce the criminal victimization of the senior population and to enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to seniors.
