[ARCHIVED] Main Street (Rt23/41) Closure Postponed

Road Closed Sign against a blue sky and clouds with the words Postponed to July 17 - 21

Due to the excessive rain on Sunday, July 9, and overnight to Monday morning, July 10, 2023, Maxymillian Construction cannot replace the culvert this week. Routes 23/41 (Main Street, So. Egremont) on the corner between the Great Barrington Town Line and Creamery Road will reopen by 3:30 PM today, the 10th, to one traffic lane with a stop light. The culvert replacement and water line installation will occur next week when this section of the road will be closed at the culvert from 7:00 AM Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, at 4:00 PM.

The one-lane and full road closures will significantly impact Main Street (Route 23/41), the side roads connected to Main Street, Egremont Plain Road (Rt 71), and Creamery Road. Expect significant traffic delays and a significant increase in traffic on all the side roads.
