Egremont Transportation Program

Two drivers, CORI-checked and insured, can drive residents from Egremont, Alford, and Mt. Washington to in-state medical appointments and other necessary errands. The drivers use their vehicles until the Town takes possession of its grant-paid van. Rides are available Monday through Friday. To arrange for a ride, call Melanie Torrico, Transportation Department Administrator, at 413-0182 ext 25 between 9 AM and 3:00 PM, or email Melanie. You must arrange your ride 48 hours in advance.

Senior Transportation

The Egremont Council on Aging has applied for a Taxi Grant to cover the costs of rides for those in need. Two taxi services will be available to drive vulnerable adults over 55, veterans, homebound individuals, persons with disabilities, and essential workers (medical, nursing home, and grocery store workers). The grant would cover the costs of these rides. Examples of rides include medical appointments, shopping, meal or prescription drug deliveries, and other non-emergency medical trips. For emergencies, call 911.
