Vote by Mail and Other Voting Methods for 2022 Elections

Early Voting by Mail

Registered Massachusetts voters have or will receive an Official 2022 Vote by Mail Application sent by the Secretary of State’s office for the September 6th State Primary and November 8th State Election. Quick and easy to fill out, you can choose the election(s) for which you want a mail-in ballot. If your party is listed as “No Party,” and you want a primary ballot, pick a party. Your party enrollment won’t be changed. Then sign the application and mail it back postage paid. Your Vote by Mail application must reach Egremont’s Town Clerk office by 5 PM on Monday, August 29, for the September 6th State Primary.

Once your application is received, you will be placed on a list to automatically receive a ballot in the mail when ballots become available. You can mail back your ballot or drop it off at Town Hall in the sealed envelope enclosed with your ballot. This envelope will remain sealed until Election Day, and our election warden will act as your proxy and cast your vote. Please note that this method of voting is to help those who may be out of town or prefer to avoid crowds on Election Day.

Early Voting In-Person

A week before the September 6th Primary and November 8th Election, in-person early voting will be held in the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall during regular Town Clerk hours of Monday – Friday 1:00 to 3:00 PM and yet to be announced weekend hours. This voting method is also helpful to those who will be out of town on Election Day, and your completed ballot will be placed in a sealed envelope where our election warden will act as your proxy and cast your vote on Election Day.

Voting on Election Day

Polls on September 6, 2022, and November 8, 2022, at the North Egremont Fire House will open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Lines to vote in Egremont are unusual.
